The Willow Domestic Violence Center
This is a
Lawrence-based agency that provides shelter and other services to survivors of
domestic violence. As the first shelter established in Kansas, the Willow Domestic Violence Center has been

Midnight Farms
CLO's
Midnight Farms is part of Community Living Opportunities (CLO). CLO's
mission is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and adults with special needs. CLO has residential programs, case management, day
services, therapeutic riding and much more. To volunteer, complete the

Lawrence Humane Society
The first
step to becoming a volunteer is to attend a Volunteer Information Session. To
find out dates and times of sessions and to register for a session, contact the
shelter by emailing Volunteer@LawrenceHumane.org or calling (785) 843-6835. More

You can:

Heartland Community Health Center
Volunteer at
the clinic or Volunteer at the food pantry. As a volunteer at the food pantry, you work one Saturday morning of each month. Fill out the volunteer

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Douglas
County
Volunteers
should be at least 18 years old, have their own transportation and insurance,
and be able to meet weekly for a couple of hours with their
"Littles." Mentors in the Bigs in Schools program should also be 18
years old, and be able to meet weekly with the child at his/her school during
the school year, usually during the lunch hour. Beyond that, the qualifications
are quite simple: have a caring, friendly attitude and be willing to give time
and attention to an at-risk child. Complete information is available at one of
